I woke up at around noon, went downstairs to look for food, and found this by my plate instead. My boyfriend came by earlier today to drop it off for me. I have the best boyfriend ever.

When he visited briefly a couple of days ago, we got to talking about being sick and I said that if I ever ended up in the hospital, I didn’t want people to bring me flowers. Seriously, flowers aren’t going to entertain me while I’m stuck in a hospital bed, right? Bring me books, instead.

I’m not in a hospital bed right now, but he brought me a book anyway. :) He has never bought me flowers because he knows that although I think they’re pretty (I’m still sort of female, you know), I also think they’re useless. Not for our anniversaries, not for my birthday, not for special events, not for apologies.

It’s always been books and toys and fun things, and I hope that’ll never change. :)
